Twitch Stream Recap: Genco Pura Olive Oil Company or the Salorim Syndicate AAR 3

A drug dealers dream

Our last session ended with a stalemate in a war with the space racists to defend our defenseless, our rat friends to the north after Voidborne Mary executed a series of maneuvers freeing our friends.

Traditions and Tech

As shown above we are getting ready for our genetic ascension. I haven’t decided if I’ll go more toward cloning or purity but I’m leaning towards purity. While at work today I’m going to double check mutation and see if that is a route I want to go down as a corporation.

From a technology perspective I’m extremely behind. I’ve made three changes. First, I’m converting my capital to a tech world to take advantage of the bonus in productivity an empire capital has. I’m purchasing all of my alloys now. Second, I’ve settled a size 25 planet in the same sector and will double up science governors. Third, I’m not chasing specific technologies after unlocking the Dyson Swarm and Arc Furnace. I’ve been focused on higher tier techs like Terraforming and with the exception of cloning and gene splicing I’m just going to pick the cheapest tech to increase my diplomatic weight

Friends and Neighbors

The big current event of the last AAR, The War, is over with a slight border adjustment in favor of my rat friends, the Immutharan Republic.

Two big things have happened during this game. First, we opened up the galactic community so a large part of the galaxy has become known to us. This provides new expansion, new customers, and new empires that need to have illicit drug labs located all over them. Unlike last time I’ll only cover two of the new players. First, we discovered another Megacorporation in the south bordering our friends the Djunn Collective. Fellnoll Incorporated is a fanatically militaristic empire with Letters of Marque and Private Prospecting. At great expense we opened up a branch office to “benefit” them our wonderful drugs and other services. Longer term I’m hoping they start to get into disagreements with our hive mind neighbors so I have an excuse to steal their branch offices.

Similar to us the Triech Polity is an overlord an empire we had just discovered at the end of our last session, the Figyaran Stalwart Legion. Even better, they are fanatic Xenophiles in a world of racism. While it’s hard to tell they are bordered to the north by the Empire of Wethir.

The Trade League Forms

Immediately after our stalemate with the Royal Cyaniditan Nations we got to work putting together a federation to benefit from the consumer and unity benefits of the trade league. Originally we targeted the Immutharan Republic but they became our vassals. Next we looked to the south at the Djunn Collective but they had very little interest in forming a league due to our commitment to peace.

The Triech Polity proved much easier to get on board with a lot of gifts, improved relations, and diplomatic agreements. This league is what allowed us to remove the mixed industry sector of our empire capital and as the consumer goods are replaced by converted trade. Our second planet, Galleon’s Landing, is completely devoted to trade and even with a net purchase of goods we’re running a trade surplus.

Our trade league, The Genco Pura Olive Oil Company, has just gotten off the ground. My hope is to continue to grow the league and improve our trade balance over time while spreading the benefits of our powders and pills to the world.

Other Matters

The Galactic Community has formed but isn’t really doing anything. I’ve prioritized building out branch offices instead of converting our vassal to a bulwark. I’ve slowly been checking on the anomalies and dig sites without anything of note being being found.

Next Steps

Once we research the Arc Furnaces and Dyson Spheres I hope that I can up my alloy production without settling a new planet. I’m hoping to finish the biogenesis situation and set up my planets to allow for migration from other planets.
