Boring Until Not
Last time we focused on managing our internal economy getting ready to do something. My playthrough was so unremarkable that I decided to combine my 5th and 6th streams. Unremarkable until I decided to make a choice –
Traditions and Technology
So the big thing to look at is that we have decided to fully embrace our troll life and become the crisis. This has occurred purely out of boredom. I’ve never finished a game where I have become the crisis and I don’t think I would finish this game without taking this step. We will be rewriting the laws of nature to sell drugs.

From a technology standpoint we are currently at the top among members of the galactic community. This means a few things and none of them are good for the universe. First, I’ve decided that we are going to settle every single planet and generate pops to put inside our space lathe. I’m not sure if this is the correct strategy but our focus on cloning means I’ve got too many pops already.
Second, as you can see below, we have started to connect our empire with hyperlanes and are slowly filling in the empty spaces in our empire. We really are too strong to stop at this point and our focus on trade has allowed us to start running away and boost our research. Our biggest issue is that amount of time it takes to build things on planets and as a megacorp we don’t have access to functional architecture.

I’m excited to see what is going to happen over the next few sessions as we advance the crisis. It’s very early days and our only advancement so far has been researching technologies. We’re far from the second level of the crisis and I don’t know what to expect yet from the game.

Colony Overview
We have added five colonies since our last report to deal with the overpopulation of jellyfish people. Cloning was a mistake and there are too many people on our planets. Our poor capital has over 4.7K civilians.

Of the five colonies I’ve planned I have one for alloys, one for physics research, one for engineering, and one general research. My dedicated trade planet is generating more than enough trade.
One temporary change I’ve made is creating a unity world called Freeport. Freeport is barely off the ground right now with just under 1K pops but will be my focus until I use planetary ascension on my planets to reduce my empire size. After this it will be turned into an alloy planet for producing more ships. Freeport represents a “win more” attitude and I’d likely quit without a streaming story and the cosmogenesis crisis path I’ve taken.

Friends and Neighbors
The Galactic Community hasn’t been off to a fast start with the majority of the resolutions related to fleet power. Since we’ve decided to become the crisis the only thing we are truly concerned with is keeping the community from attacking us as we accrue more power and knowledge.

The galactic council has formed and we have a significant lead in diplomatic power. However, we’re far from being able to ram through any of the resolutions we want without friends and allies. As the crisis we can’t become the custodian so our plan is going to be to reduce the number of sets and make sure that we are the only member of the council.

One a positive note we have desicively fought and defeated our rivals the space nazis. It was a bit of an unfair fight with only minor border adjustments but we declared war in response to them taking over the Uva-Xanvanian Star State. We have completely broken the Space Nazi Scum and turned them into a government of peaceful xenophiles (good luck with the internal politics. While the Star State were our former rivals we didn’t want the local balance of power (or potential vassal) to slip out of our control. After all of the wars concluded we have a new subordinate empire.

While minor, our hive-minded friends to the south, the Djunn Collective, have joined our Federation. While normally I would be worried that we would get stuck in endless wars against the rest of the universe our plane to build ships and produce fleet power has really created a scenario where I welcome the drums of war to break up the boring time.

If we really wanted to we could always fight the Great Khan (and might just to get a cool chair). However, the wrong horde rose up and we would have to fly across the galaxy to finish a fight.

In reality our biggest fight is the September 22nd release date of the new DLC and our desire to continue this game any longer. That being said, I’ll be streaming on twitch on Wednesday night and Friday morning.
