I started this blog a long long time ago but only really started posting in fits and starts in 2025. While I originally thought I would be posting about NCAA 2025 and Leagues of Votann for the 2025 Grand Narrative in reality I only posted about Stellaris.
Painting Votann didn’t last long even with a release of new models.

I really liked Stellaris and made two youtube videos. I enjoyed the process but don’t really have anything else to say about a game that absolutely is just going through it. Currently the community is split between those engaged in the 4.3 beta and those playing the 4.2 game. I have no desire to play either in a serious way.

I did start getting an Imperial Fists army ready for the Grand Narrative in 2026. It’s a little cold in my basement so I’m taking a break from painting these models. However, I’ve got a crew for 2026 and cannot believe how excited I am to play 40K.

Later in the year I started writing for the worst named website of all time. I wrote two articles for Goonhammer, one for a Star Wars themed burlesque show, and the other a review of Anno 117. While it was published Friday it would take me over a decade of writing and posting on youtube to get the number of impressions I got at Goonhammer. I have to admit that writing and being read is a motivating factor. However, I like the idea of my own little place that nobody needs or wants to read. My biggest choice is will I continue to write about my Grand Narrative journey here or there?

If I write here it’s not gonna happen that frequently. If I go over to Goonhammer I’m going to be turning something that I enjoy, that is fun, into work but I’ll be able to share my experience and stay on target more. I can’t be overstated how driven I’ll be by the thought of losing compared to doing something for myself.

No matter what choice I make I’m going to keep things here pretty simple.
My 2026 Goals will be Simple:
- Write two articles a month on this blog.
- Make a Youtube Video once per month.
- Get 5,000 Impressions between the two of them.
