I don’t have much to say, or talk about as most of my hobby time has been devoted to cleaning up the sprue pile that accumulated over the past ten years. As you can see the pile to the right of the chairs is FILLED with sprues and needed to be cleaned up. My forgotten imperial fists on the desk will have to wait.

Adding to my pain, and my lack of productivity, is that my computer has been broken since December as I get a warranty part replaced. It’s not fun to engage in some american style health care/insurance work without getting a single actual healthcare utile from it.

There were so many sprues on the ground. The picture above is after about half of my sprues were stripped and the individual bits moved to a more or less organized set of boxes. I have one for destruction, another for other, and a third for space marines.

In a lot of ways the last nine years of my life is being undone as the sprue pile, something that once grew, is now diminished and gone from my life. While my wife will be happy a small part of me will always miss the ease and joy in throwing away a sprue after putting a model together. I basically lost an entire month of painting working on this project but in the long term I’ll be able to have a more inviting painting workstation.
