I just don’t have the energy or drive to keep up with this blog and creating content the way I want. I’m still gonna have it out, and I’m still gonna make stuff, but there are three big issues with the concept of a blog in 2026.

Nobody Reads What I Write

Now, that isn’t a big deal for me since what I write here isn’t that good. However, if I do want to connect with people and build an audience, I need to write at places like reddit and youtube and direct them here. It’s not that big of an ask but after playing Stellaris, and finding time to create, it’s just not a priority.

I very much enjoy that people don’t read my blog and I can just scrawl a few things for myself. People not reading is a feature, not a bug, as I can write as much as I want and don’t owe anyone anything

I have a lot of work at work

My job has changed and a lot of the things I did when I contributed to goonhammer/this blog/GAW don’t work with my schedule.
